👋 Introduction
Hi, I’m Jim, AKA @LittleRubySubie. I am a husband, father, Subaru Ambassador, Eagle Scout, and overall outdoorsman.
🚗 Which Subaru do you own? What do you like most about it?
I drive a 2015 Outback Premium. I love how capable it is. Even before my modifications, it handled everything I threw at it. I have pushed this car to its limits and it keeps coming back for more.
Why did you choose a Subaru? How many have you owned?
I chose Subaru because of how awesome the cars are and my buddy owns a Subaru dealership. I have owned four Subarus: two Outbacks, a Legacy, and an Ascent.
🔧 Have you made any modifications?
I have made quite a few modifications:
* Spiked Performance Hood Louvers
* Pirelli Scorpion AT Plus
* SS3 fog lights/roof lights
* Spot lights switch
* Tuff Country 2” lift
* Nilight LED ditch lights
* Maxi Trac awning
* NashFabCo version 2.0 ladder
* Midland USA MXT275 radio
* Anderson Design Fabrication CVT insert
* Primitive Racing overload springs
* Cargo basket w/ shovel and axe
* Full size spare
* Torkliftcentral EcoHitch
* Road sign Skid Plate
* STI Muffler
* Resonator delete
* Auxito LED headlight
* Auxito Footwell Lights
* Snorkel
* Scrub Blade Wipers
* Viper cut front bumper
➕ What would you like to add to your setup?
I would love to add a proper off-road suspension. My spacer kit does a great job, but long travel suspension would really take my rig to the next level. I would also like to add a diff locker.
🗺️ Favorite road trip? Or favorite thing to do in your Subaru?
One of my favorite off-road trips was with MtnRoo Tristate. We spent two days off-roading and cleaning up the Turkey Swamp Wildlife Management Area. After the two days, we removed 10,557 pounds of trash. There was a short steep trail that really pushed my cars abilities. I am also super stoked to be attending Wicked Big Meet and Boxerfest this year! I’m looking forward to meeting up with new and old friends up there.
🥰 What’s your favorite picture of your car?
From my most recent off-road trip. There is a huge sandpit with some ravines. I managed to 3-wheel my car with my rear tire about four feet off the ground.
A big thank you Jim for being in the Spotlight and sharing your Subie story with us! Your Outback is a great build and I love the pictures of your adventures. Have a great time at Wicked Big Meet and Boxerfest! Be sure to follow Jim on Instagram (@littlerubysubie) for more adventures!
